CALL FOR TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS KYOVA Interstate Planning Commission, the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Huntington, WV-KY-OH Urbanized Area, will be accepting applications for the suballocated Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) Program and the STBG Set-Aside Program (formerly the Transportation Alternatives Program TAP) for the Huntington, WV-KY-OH Transportation Management Area (TMA). The TMA includes Cabell and Wayne counties, WV; Boyd and Greenup counties, KY and Lawrence County OH. Suballocated Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Program funds are also available to Lawrence County, Ohio. STP funds are flexible funds from the Federal Highway Administration awarded to the MPO to fund a variety of multimodal and roadway projects that may be used by states and localities for projects as outlined in 23 U.S.C Section 133(b) or (c). The STBG Set-Aside Program funds on-and-off road facilities for bicyclists and pedestrians and other enhancements to surface transportation. CMAQ Ohio program funds are designed to implement transportation projects and programs that improve air quality. KYOVA will hold a workshop on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at their office located at 400 Third Avenue, Huntington, WV. The Intent-to-Apply for all funding programs is due by close of business March 17, 2017. Final applications are due by close of business April 28, 2017.
