LOGAN COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF'S CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION Notice is hereby given that a Civil Service Examination will be given for Deputy Sheriff's positions on Thursday, August 3, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. The test will be held in Room 101 of the Logan County Courthouse (County Clerk's Office) in Logan, West Virginia. Age limit is 18 to 45 years of age. Under West Virginia Code 30-29-5(f) persons that have dropped out of the State Police Academy Entry Level Training Program are not eligible to take this test as they cannot be employed as law enforcement officer until they have attended and completed Academy Entry Level Training Program as a private citizen. Applications for said test may be obtained at the Logan County Clerk's Office as of Monday, July 10, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. and all applications must be completed and returned to said office by Friday, July 21, 2017 at 4:30 o'clock p.m. Applications returned after said date and time will not be considered for this examination.
