PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF CHARLESTON TARIFF FORM NO. 10 NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO CHANGE RATES (Tariff Rule 19-A) WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT, INC CASE NO. 17-0488-S-19A NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO CHANGE RATES On April 19, 2017, Wastewater Management, Inc. (WVI), a public utility, filed with the Public Service Commission of West Virginia, an Application requesting increased rates and charges for furnishing sewer service to approximately 50 customers in the Dunrovin Estates subdivision in Wayne County, WMI requested an increase in the flat rate to $45.00 per month. The Staff of the Public Service Commission has reviewed the Application and has recommended the flat rate be increased to $45.00 per month which is designed to produce approximately $15,288 annually in additional revenue, an overall increase of 119.51%. Staff also approved new and revised tariff charges. The prior and recommended rates and charges are as follows: SEWER RATES AND CHARGES Monthly Charge Current Rate $20.50 Staff-recommended Rate $45.00 Return Check Charge Current Rate $0 Staff-recommended Rate $25.00 Tap Fee Current Rate $0 Staff-recommended Rate $350.00 Delayed Payment Penalty Current Rate $0 Staff-recommended Rate $5.00 Anyone desiring to protest the changed rates and charges must do so, in writing, within ten (10) days of the date of publication of this notice. All protests should be addressed to the Executive Secretary, Public Service Commission of West Virginia, P.O. Box 812, Charleston, West Virginia 25323. To help the Commission determine the justification for additional review and investigation, protests must be specific as to reasons that the changed rates and charges should be modified and why a hearing is required, if one is requested.
