PUBLIC NOTICE The West Virginia Division of Forestry will be conducting a public tour at Cabwaylingo State Forest on Saturday, October 8th, 2016. This tour will be to inform the public of plans for timber harvests prescribed to provide more diverse wildlife habitat and forest growth potential. The tour of an area off of Tick Ridge in the Moses Fork Drainage will take place at 10 AM. Following this tour we will be touring a project north of the old fire tower on the north central portion of the forest, in the Twelve Pole Creek drainage. This tour will take place at 1 PM. We will meet at the Cabwaylingo State Forest office for both tours. Bring substantial footwear, clothing appropriate for the weather, snacks and water. The tour will involve a one half to one mile hike on uneven ground in the woods, no trails, some old roads are involved. There are some hills along the tour path. This is the opportunity for the public to learn about the project in order to provide meaningful input and comments.
