PUBLIC NOTICE OF BLASTING OPERATIONS ADVERTISEMENT Notice is hereby given that Aracoma Coal Company, Inc. P.O. Box 1098 Holden, WV 25626 (304) 239-2300 intends to conduct blasting activities on Surface Mine Permit/ Application Number S-5013-90 located 1 mile Northeast of Ethel in East District of Logan County, WV. All blasting shall be conducted in accordance with the following schedule of dates and times, unless emergency conditions dictate unscheduled detonation. Blasting will be conducted between sunrise and sunset starting Sept. 10, 2017 (Date blasting will begin) through Sept. 10, 2018 (Date blasting will end). Public access to the area prior to blasting will be controlled by company personnel. The pre-blast audible warning signal shall be from a siren and given three (3) minutes prior to the blast. A warning signal from a siren audible to a range of one-half (1/2) mile from blast site will be given three (3) short signals of five (5) seconds duration with five (5) seconds between each signal. The "All Clear" signal shall consist of one (1) long warning signal from a siren of twenty (20) seconds duration. NO BLASTING SHALL BE CONDUCTED ON SUNDAYS. LH-55685 9-7; 2017
