NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR MERGER AND ACQUISITION OF FIRST SENTRY BANCSHARES, INC. BY WESBANCO, INC. Notice is hereby given by the Applicant, Wesbanco, Inc. ("Wesbanco"), One Bank Plaza, Wheeling, West Virginia, 26003, that it will apply to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation for prior approval to engage in a merger transaction with First Sentry Bancshares, Inc. ("First Sentry"), 823 Eighth Street, Huntington, WV 25701, with Wesbanco being the surviving entity thereof. As part of the transaction, it is anticipated that First Sentry Bank, Inc., a wholly-owned, federally-insured, depository institution subsidiary of First Sentry, will be merged with and into Wesbanco Bank, Inc., a wholly-owned, federally-insured, depository institution subsidiary of Wesbanco, with Wesbanco Bank, Inc. being the survivor thereof. Any person wishing to comment on this application may file his or her comments in writing with the regional director of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation at the appropriate FDIC office located at 10 Tenth St., N.E., Suite 800, Atlanta, GA 30309, not later than January 12, 2018.
