KENOVA MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS KENOVA,WV KENOVA DOWNTOWN WATER SYSTEM UPGRADE ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of: Kenova Downtown Water System Upgrade Contract No. 1- Furnishing all materials,labor,and necessary items for the construction and installation of approximately 10,505 LF of 12" water line; valves, fire hydrants and all other items and appurtenances as outlined in the Plans and Specifications. Sealed Bids for the construction of Contract No.1will be received by Terry Carpenter (Mayor-City of Kenova) at the office of the Kenova Municipal Water Works;1501Pine Street, Kenova, WV 25530, until 2:00 p.m. local time on January 10.2017 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. A pre-bid meeting will be conducted at the Kenova Municipal Building at 10:00 a.m.on December 20. 2016. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is highly encouraged but is not mandatory. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: E.L. Robinson Engineering Company 5088 Washington Street West, Charleston,WV 25313 Project Manager: Eric Coberly. Office: (304) 776-7473, Email: ecoberly@elrobinson.com Bidders may examine and/or obtain the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Bidding Documents also may be examined at: Kenova Municipal Building. 1501 Pine Street, Kenova, WV 25530 Contractor's Association of WV. 2114 Kanawha Blvd. East.Charleston. WV 25311 E.L. Robinson Engineering, 5088 Washington Street West, Charleston, WV 25313 Printed copies of the Bi dding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $150.00 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 30 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to "E.L. Robinson Engineering Company". Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents,including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must comply with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,the Davis-Bacon Act,the Copeland Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Act, the West Virginia Division of Labor Wages for Construction of Public Improvements pursuant to West Virginia Code 21-SA-3,and the West Virginia Jobs Act (West Virginia Code 21-1C-1). All Bidders must hold a current WV Contractor License on the date of Bid opening. Any Contractor submitting a bid on this project hereby certifies, indicates, and acknowledges that he/she has a license and meets all the qualifications required by the statues of the State of West Virginia,and subdivision in which the work is to be performed.
