INVITATION FOR BIDS The Mingo County Commission is currently seeking sealed bids from qualified contractors for the second phase of upgrading the electrical system in the Mingo County Courthouse located at 78 East 2nd Avenue, Williamson, W.Va. This project will include, but not be limited to: The installation of a new 800 amp breaker panel as well as an 800 amp automatic transfer switch as well as making all terminations; running permanent power to the panels on the second and third floors; installing a new 200 amp panel on the first floor; installing new receptacles and circuitry on the first floor. Interested bidders may view the project by contacting Leigh Ann Ray, project manager for the Mingo County Commission, at 304-235-0338. Bids will be accepted by hand delivery to Mrs. Ray, at her office located on the third floor of the main courthouse, Room 308-B, or by U.S. mail addressed as follows: Diann Hannah, Mingo County Commission president; Attention: Leigh Ann Ray; 78 East Second Ave., Room 308-B, Williamson, WV 25661. Bids will be accepted until noon, Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017. Bids will be opened and read aloud at the Mingo County Commission regular meeting session scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside of the envelope "CONTRACTOR COURTHOUSE ELECTRICAL". A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2017 in the Mingo County Commission Courtroom, Room 135 of the Mingo County Courthouse. The successful bidder will be required to submit a certified check or bank draft, payable to the Mingo County Commission, Par Value U.S. government bonds or satisfactory bid bond executed in an amount equal to five percent of the bid as well as a payment and performance bond equal to 100 percent of the bid. Bid bond shall be countersigned by a West Virginia agent. All bidders/bids must address any/all applicable municipal taxes. The Mingo County Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any informalities on the bidding process. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid within 30 days of after the date of the bid opening. The successful bidder will enter into a contract agreeable to the Mingo County Commission.
