ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS WAYNE COUNTY COMMISSION WAYNE COUNTY COURT SECURITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT-PHASE 2 The Wayne County Commission (hereinafter referred to as Owner) will receive sealed bids from prospective bidders for the provision of security improvements for the following projects: 1. Project No. 1 - Probation Office Security Improvements 2. Project No. 2 - Exterior Security Cameras A detailed description of the security improvements can be obtained by contacting the Owner at (304) 272-6592. Bid price is to include all materials, labor, equipment, transportation and applicable cost necessary to complete the project. The Contractor will be responsible for: 1. Obtaining all necessary permits, clearances, bonding, insurance, workers compensation, applicable taxes, etc. 2. All site preparation and clean-up 3. Construction as specified per contract to be negotiated 4. Supervision and coordination of all sub-contractor activity 5. One year warranty for materials and workmanship 6. Complete all construction and submit final invoice by March 31, 2017. The Contractor and the Contractor's surety shall be liable for and shall pay the Owner $300 per calendar day for each day beyond the contract time that either substantial or final completion is not achieved. Submit offer on the Bid Form provided. Each bidder must submit along with their bid, a bid bond equal to five (5%) percent of the total bid. The bid bond may be in the form of a certified or cashier's check or surety-bond properly secured. The bid bond will be retained by the Owner and returned upon the contract award and execution of a contract with the lowest responsible bidder. The bidder awarded the contract must provide both a surety performance bond and payment bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Sealed bids will be received by the Wayne County Commission until 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the offices of the Wayne County Commission at Wayne County Courthouse, Room 104, 700 Hendricks Street, Wayne, WV 25570 and will be opened on or after that date. Bids submitted by USPS must be submitted to the Wayne County Commission, P.O. Box 248, Wayne, WV 25570. If bids are submitted by postal or other delivery services, they must arrive prior to the time stated above. Bids must be clearly marked "Bid-Wayne County Court Security Improvements Project-Phase 2". Bid must specify which project you are submitting a bid for. The aim of the competitive process is to objectively select the firm that will provide the highest quality of service at a reasonable fee. All bids must comply with Chapter 21, Article 11 of the West Virginia State Code "West Virginia Contractor Licensing Act."
